BitTorrent
Use torrents legally and responsibly.
The BitTorrent protocol will be your primary method for acquiring media like movies and TV shows.
To facilitate this, we will construct a stack of two containers to work together: qBittorrent and Gluetun.
qBittorrent?
It’s a simple BitTorrent client that has all the functions you need. It’s free, it has no ads, it’s open source, and is actively maintained.
And… we can make its interface prettier using VueTorrent.
VueTorrent?
VueTorrent is a third-party WebUI (think “skin”) for qBittorrent made by Rémi Marseault using Vue.js - it just looks and feels much more modern and usable than qBitTorrent’s native WebUI, with a fully responsive design on both desktop and mobile.
Gluetun?
Gluetun routes traffic through your VPN provider and can prevent qBittorrent from leaking traffic outside the VPN.
VPN?
Yes, ideally you route ALL BitTorrent traffic through a third-party VPN.
